let’s find what fits

Website Services for Authors

Maybe it needs a tune-up. Maybe it needs a complete refresh. Or maybe it just needs someone to take it off your plate entirely.

Here’s what I offer—and how to know which one is right for you.

Start with clarity: What’s actually wrong?

With a Website Audit: You’ll go from wondering “what’s broken?” to knowing exactly what needs to happen—and what you can safely ignore.

In 3 business days, you’ll get a video walkthrough of your current site. I’ll show you what’s working, what’s costing you opportunities, and what to tackle first. You’ll have a prioritized action plan you can either handle yourself, hire someone else for, or bring back to me.

Fix what’s broken, elevate what’s working

With a Website Refresh: Your site will go from holding you back to opening doors. When someone checks you out before making a booking decision, they’ll see someone they want to work with.

In 2 weeks, I’ll elevate your existing site—cleaning up the design, restructuring content, optimizing performance, and making sure everything actually works. Then you get a 2-week grace period to use your refreshed site and catch any quirks before we call it done.

Hand it off completely

With a Website Steward: You’ll stop thinking about your website entirely. No more midnight plugin updates, no more wondering if something’s broken, no more “I should probably check on that.” Just peace of mind that it’s handled.

I become the guardian of your online presence. We meet once a month to discuss upcoming events and your needs. Between calls, you reach me on Voxer whenever something needs to happen. Behind the scenes, I handle all maintenance, updates, security, and troubleshooting, so you never have to think about WordPress again.

Why Authors Trust Me with Their Platforms

I’ve been working with authors for nearly ten years—the last two full-time. Here’s what I’ve learned: Authors don’t need another task manager. They need a partner who understands their mission.

One client is a Bible study writer, pastor, and financial coach. She calls me her “marketing dynamo” because she’s seen new clients and increased sales from our work together. As she prepares to take her ministry overseas, she needs someone who handles her website completely—not someone she has to troubleshoot with at 2 am.

Another client is a bestselling author who also runs a national nonprofit and respite home for adults with disabilities. She doesn’t have time to manage tech—she needs to be writing, speaking, and serving caregivers, and tending her own family.

My background: BFA in Creative Nonfiction, AA in English, graduate coursework in Strategic Communication, and ten years of experience working with authors.

But here’s what really matters: I understand what it means to steward someone’s message and platform with care. I don’t just update websites—I protect the work you’re called to do.

Have a question? I’m here to help you figure out what makes sense. Email me at Sarah@MaysCreative.co and let’s talk through what you need.

You’ve worked too hard to lose opportunities to a broken website. Want to know if your site is accidentally repelling the right people?
